Libra has worked in the same corner of London and Kent for years, and we think a contractor should leave more behind than the works it was paid for. In practice that means apprenticeships for local residents, materials and labour given free to community-led projects, and a serious effort to cut what we send to landfill.
We currently recycle 80% of all waste materials, and we are working towards a fully electric transport fleet by 2030.
Our operatives built 150 wooden fire trucks for Phoenix Community Housing’s fire safety awareness summer project, made in our own workshop and handed out to local families.
We funded new t‑shirts for the volunteer sailors who give up their weekends to teach local children how to sail.
Libra is a proud sponsor of Kent Wildlife, helping to protect local nature and habitats for the next generation.
We set up a donation station in the office and asked the team to contribute. Between them they gathered a considerable collection of items, which Libra then matched before delivering everything to the charity.
MIND is a leading mental health charity, providing advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem while campaigning to improve services and raise awareness. We are proud to support them.
Over 1,300 residents joined us across three events, making this our biggest Summer Fun yet. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, families enjoyed a full programme of activities across the three days, and the events scored 99% satisfaction.
